CHRIST (Deemed to be University) was born out of the educational vision of St Kuriakose Elias Chavara, an educationist and social reformer of the nineteenth century in South India. Established in 1969 as Christ College, it undertook path-breaking initiatives in Indian higher education with the introduction of innovative and modern curricula, insistence on academic discipline, imparting of Holistic Education and adoption of global higher education practices with the support of creative and dedicated staff. One of the first institutions in India to be accredited in 1998 by the NAAC, and subsequently in 2004 and 2016, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) has the top grade ‘A’ and ‘A+’ grade in 2022 in the 4-point scale.
The School of Commerce, Finance & Accountancy at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR Campus, embodies the University’s commitment to excellence and service. Rooted in a holistic approach to education, the School nurtures ethical leadership, social responsibility, and research-driven inquiry. Its programmes and centres encourage students and faculty to integrate moral uprightness, inclusivity, and community engagement with rigorous scholarship preparing graduates to contribute meaningfully to society and the economy.
The global economy is currently witnessing profound structural transformations, largely shaped by rapid
advances in artificial intelligence, the rising importance of sustainable finance, the expansion of digital
trade, and the dynamic expectations of stakeholders. In this dynamic economy, businesses are no longer
assessed only on profitability but are increasingly expected to ensure inclusive growth while responding to
pressing environmental and social responsibilities.
The interplay between innovation, sustainability, and
equity has therefore become central to how enterprises function and how societies envision progress.
Against this backdrop, ICNPECS 26 serves as a timely platform, bringing together scholars, industry
experts, policymakers, and students. The conference provides a space for critical engagement, knowledge
sharing, and collaborative exploration of actionable frameworks that integrate technological advancement
with the broader imperatives of sustainability and social well-being. By aligning innovation with
inclusivity and environmental stewardship, the event aims to contribute toward shaping new paradigms of
commerce and society that are both future-ready and socially responsible.
